HSSE Coordinator

Job Description

  1. a) Reports to HSE Officer.
  2. b) Responsible for managing an HSE aspect or area to ensure ‘Goal Zero’ is achieved within the CONTRACTOR’s area of responsibility.
  3. c) Must have more than 10 years’ experience in maintenance work in the Petrochemical, Petroleum Refining or Power generation industry.
  4. d) Must have Minimum 2 years in HSE position in previous organizations.
  5. e) Must be able to stand in for HSSE officer for short period (30 Days).
  6. f) Support to conduct incident / accident investigation as per procedure.
  7. g) Must be able to work with computers utilizing Microsoft Windows and Office suite of packages.
  8. h) Must have a received formal training in HSE & Safety Management (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma) 92
  9. i) Must be capable of supporting HSE audits, site, procedures and HSE Plan.
  10. j) Must be capable of interpreting and cascading HSE related procedures and guidelines to actively pursue all staff to adhere to the defined HSE Standards.
  11. k) Must be capable of training the staff in relevant HSE topics like Working at Height, Scaffolding, Confined Space, Road Driving and Basic Fire Fighting etc.
  12. l) Must be able to read, write and speak English (IELT 6 Equivalent) and should be able to communicate with the majority manpower in their language.
  13. m) Has a sound understanding of incident investigation methodology (Sphera or FIM etc) and is able to develop 5.
  14. o) Able to support in the development of JSA/JHA, Ventilation Plan, Rescue Plan of Maintenance and Turnaround& Project tasks as required.
  15. p) Experience in Behavioral-Based Safety q) Able to produce, implement and maintain HSSE initiatives, campaigns, Toolbox Talks and recognition programs.
