Production Manager

Urgent Opening for Production Manager.

Location – Kuwait

Job summary
The purpose of this role is to focus on the production operations of all departments and to
provide efficient and effective scheduling. It also includes maintaining product inventory,
directly managing up people, and interacting positively with all levels of management and
supervisors.
Key responsibilities
1. Overall responsible for manufacturing operations in the factory.
2. Taking part as a team member in management commitment.
3. Managing all direct reports, Production Supervisors and Maintenance Supervisors, for
the ceramic’s operation
4. Developing multi-year manufacturing strategies based on market requirements and
Production contribution targets.
5. Will be hands on and able to combine on floor interaction with planning and strategy
skills to optimize performance.
6. Responsible for understanding processes and the critical connection between operator
performance and the impact on quality, material usage and equipment
7. Will be involved with various other areas of our business, such as R&D, Quality,
Sales, Marketing, Customer Relations, etc.
Duties:
1. The position has direct responsibility for manufacturing, warehousing and material
control.
2. Developing manufacturing strategies based on market requirements and contribution
to achieve the targets on time.
3. Responsible for the management of all Manufacturing Operations to include
Manufacturing, Material management, Quality
4. Achieving productivity improvements and increasing the yield with cost reduction.
5. Making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality.
6. Overseeing the production process.
7. Managing and developing a production team.
8. Agreeing weekly production plans and targets.
9. Maintaining production equipment.
10. Managing the movement of goods into and out of production facilities.
11. Managing production budgets and costings.
12. Implementing best practice production and manufacturing methods.
13. Ensuring the health and safety of all employees and visitors to the facility.
14. Identifying staff training needs.
15. Selecting, ordering and purchasing materials.
16. Determining quality control standards.
17. Attending daily operations meetings.
18. Making sure that staff comply with all workplace health and safety regulations.
19. Introducing innovative manufacturing processes
20. Motivating, supporting and providing guidance to production staff
21. Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues
impacting production
22. Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
23. Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of
manufacturing operations
24. Setting productivity goals for each manufacturing team

25. Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without
compromising safety or quality
Education:
• Qualified Bachelor / Master’s engineering, industrial technology.
Experience:

• 15-20 years of experience in the design, planning and manufacture of ceramic,
sanitary ware products of which,
• at least 5 years on a managerial position in a reputed ceramic, Sanitaryware
production company.
• Excellent verbal, written communication skills
• Ability to ensure that all works conform with the company’s quality system,
Skills and Abilities:
• Strong understanding of processes and the critical connection between operator
performance and the impact on quality, material usage, and equipment.
• Strong safety background and knowledge of action-based programs that involved
the workforce in safety.
• Strong understanding of ERP systems inputs/outputs and the ability to create and
maintain processes that facilitate accurate material tracking.
• Strong commitment and knowledge of quality programs and root cause analysis.
• Strong employee and peer relationship skills and team work.
• Strong analytical abilities
